    On-line VAT filing becoming compulsory in 2012

    HRMC have recently told us that  next year is the year of mandatory online VAT filing.   Effective from 1st April 2012, it will become compulsory for VAT registered UK businesses to file their VAT return and make VAT payments electronically.
